After experiencing success with its Safety Recognition program stateside, Michael C. Fina is taking its proprietary incentive rewards platform across the Atlantic with a launch in the United Kingdom. Targeting workers in the fields of transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, construction and other industries, the roll out of the recognition initiative comes just in time as on the job safety undergoes greater scrutiny in Great Britain. Specifically, companies interested in ISO 9000:2008 certification—an international standard of quality management—now must adhere to new health and safety measures as part of the qualification process.
"The recent changes to the UK ISO procedures mandating that health and safety be part of the companies’ ISO procedures starting in June 2009 provided us with the perfect timing to launch our Safety Recognition program in the UK. With this change in UK legislation, we saw an increased need for safety programs by our customers," says Sheila Sheldon, director of European Operations for Michael C. Fina.
Safety Recognition, developed by the New York City-based Michael C. Fina, promotes positive behaviors in the workplace through the use of recognition and merchandise rewards to help support the diverse safety goals and initiatives of client organizations. Upon reaching the established safety requirements of their respective recognition programs, participating employees can choose from a selection of merchandise, such as electronics, home appliances and other lifestyle items.
